I’m Rakhi (pronounced Rocky), I know it’s an odd name for a girl, but we’ll just go with it. I’m a board licensed Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist. I help people manage their weight, clear their skin, and balance digestive issues.
What is Little Bliss Nutrition?
It’s a blissful living playbook of ventures in food, natural skin & health alternatives (with a bit of science to back it up), quips about living and dealing with allergies, and other musings.
What you need to know:
I’m a film enthusiast, amateur chef, and have a Master’s in Dietetics & Nutrition. I live to create in every form I can learn.
I have an autoimmune disease
Atopic dermatitis also known as Eczema. I’m also allergic to foods like wheat and most legumes (among other things). Eating out at restaurants gives me anxiety…not so much for me, but for the other person I’m with. When you’ve thrown up on a date before, it’s kind of embarrassing.
I like playing in the kitchen
I’m in a long-term relationship with my food, but nothing ever packaged comes without an allergy-food warning label so I tend to buy/cook all natural. You can say I’m a health-nut by default, but who ever said eating healthy had to be bland and blah was a boring Betty. No thanks.
I’ve gone on a 60-Day Elimination Diet
Which I go into here. It has become a life style change, and the benefits I have found are tremendous.
Random fact:
The idea of hanging from ceilings on nothing more than 2 pieces of silk seems like a fun way to exercise for me. Look up aerial silk.
I’m a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist
Food, culture and how people live and eat has always fascinated me. I studied theatre and film before I found nutrition to be my second passion in life. I’m currently pursuing a career in Nutrition and Dietetics while still making films. I like sharing stories through food and dialogue and created Little Bliss Nutrition for whoever wants to do the same:)

You’re awesome! Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. Congrats on your nom :)
SO..not only do we both have bliss in our blog name, love healthy living, eat a “different” (BUT WONDERFUL) diet…I ALSO HAVE ECZEMA!! On the top of my hands..it gets SO bad in the winter.
Why do we have so much in common?! And ugh hand eczema IS THE WORSE! It never goes away because we’re constantly washing our hands, but my diet has helped improve it. Have you tried putting aquaphor at night and wearing cotton gloves to bed? The gloves are annoying only until you fall asleep ;) It’s well worth it though, you see results in two nights. And wearing rubber gloves when washing dishes helps and using a vegetable dicer when chopping vegetables to keep your hands water free helps as well.
I love your blog! :D *clicks follow* I’ll be coming back to read more :)
Sweet new blogger friends! Thanks Alissa for the kind words :)

-Kaitlyn
Aw thanks Kaitlyn, I appreciate it!
I work in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry and am actually working on some stuff for atopic skin at the moment :) Sorry but aren’t you scared the scarves will rip?hehe
That sounds really interesting! Let me know what products you come out with? I’m always trying new things for my skin :) Haha not in the slightest. The silks actually weigh a lot. It’s pretty heavy fabric…as thick as drapes and are suspended really high on metal beams in the ceilings. They won’t go anywhere:)
Well, Rhaki. I finally found little ‘bliss’ not ‘blessed’ book. And who knew you were up to all good? I haven’t looked the whole place over but just wanted to let you know that I found it. Why was I so insistent about finding this blog? I give my word, that’s why; and I like to keep my word. Chasing bliss huh? That’s a grand ideal. For the record, I’ve also been blissed with a skin issue from birth {the bliss is intentional there.. just liked how it sounded} and I took a lot of heat as a child, called all sorts of names etc.. Anyway, thanks for the place, I’ll be back to look around some more. K

I love what I see here. Great Work Rakhi. Keep blogging. Would love to see what you’re up to…apart from hanging from the ceiling from a piece of silk bit.:)
Thanks Namrata:)
I love your blog and look forward to excellent posts! Plus I love your about me picture!
Thanks! I look forward to yours as well. Congrats on your transformation!
we book love bliss, diy and food – i have a suspicion we would be friends if we lived close by one another :) so glad to have found your blog!!
Yay another bliss chaser foodie! I’m glad you found my blog as well:)
Just happened to run into your blog. You have got a beautiful space running here. Loved some of your write-ups. Its very subtle . Great work. Keep blogging.
Thanks Prasad! Likewise.
Very cool intro, the best part “I am a bliss chaser…” that is one of the best description of how to live life & enjoy happiness I have read. Also, very intrigued by the ‘silking’ exercise…looks fun & healthy (a bit like aerial aerobics).
Thanks Randall! My favorite quote is ‘Follow your bliss’ so as long as we’re all chasing something that brings us complete happiness we’re all bliss chasers:)
And you’re right, the silking I do is considered aerial acrobatics. Thanks for the lovely comment!
Thank you for following our blog. We sincerely appreciate your support.
-Marpay Fitness
Likewise! Thanks for the visit:)
:)
By the way, I am DYING to get into silking. That and tennis.
Hey! I’ve nominated you for an award. No obligation to accept but if you want to check it out then please do. http://sensitiveflour.wordpress.com/2013/08/31/none-of-this-would-have-been-possible-without/ Have a great day!
Hi! You’ve got an award!
http://beautyvancouver.com/2013/08/30/versatile-blogger-award/
Wow! You’re intense, man! Hanging from the ceiling?? You make the rest of us look like trolls! *hurriedly puts on yoga pants and goes for a jog*
Haha trust me, I’m just as bad about going to the gym as most people. But aerials?! I’ll jump up like a jack-in-the-box for that. I’m pretty sure I was a Koala Bear in my past life.
Hey! I just nominated you for The Versatile Blogger Award! Check it out here: http://catchingzee.wordpress.com/2013/08/23/the-versatile-blogger-award/
Wow thanks Zee! I’m honored, I’ll go check it out:)
If you wrote a book, people WOULD buy it, Rakhi. Just saying!
Aw you just put a big smile on my face Sandra:) I just went over to your blog, and you certainly could write a great selling book as well.
I’m sure I would love the thrill of it. You must have awesome arms, with all the supporting of body weight on your arms and all..Anyways, I’m gonna add it to my ‘to-do’ list..:)
Believe it or not it’s more about back and core strength :)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHHAHAAH!
Sorry, I was just imagining myself hanging from ceilings on just two pieces of silk..:P
Lol it’s fun! I do it at an aerial gym of course with high ceilings and hooks attached to the tresses where the silks are hung. Makes me feel like I’m a circus aerialist! You should try it some time if you an find an aerial gym. Great exercise and it makes you feel like a complete bada**;)
